Job Title: Lifeguard
Responsible to: Executive Director, Program Director
Term and Pay: June 25th - Aug 18th, $350.00/wk + room and board
Position Overview: The Lifeguard is responsible for the day to day supervision of the beach and canoe area. You will be expected to maintain and create a safe environment that people of all ages can enjoy.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Supervise the beach and canoe area
- Make sure beach, canoe and boating area equipment is cared for and maintained
- Enforce any necessary waterfront safety protocols
- Participate in waterfront programming
- Care and upkeep of beach area
- Other Duties as requested
Qualifications and Skills:
- He or she will be at least 17 years old and have a current NLS Certification, CPR Level C and Aquatic Emergency Care
- High level of integrity and spiritual maturity at all times
- Good public relational skills an asset
- Ability to stay calm and take control of a situation
